About Portater

Portater builds operations software for ports, terminals and harbour authorities. We started in 2011 with a simple idea: the teams who run the quay deserve tools as dependable as the cranes and tugs they work alongside.

Today we support more than thirty UK ports and terminals — from single-berth harbours to regional container operations — with berth scheduling, gate and ANPR, and yard planning in one place.

How we work

We are a small, focused team based in Southampton. We deploy alongside your existing terminal operating system and billing rather than replacing everything at once, and we stay close to operations long after go-live.
